Modernizing the Legislative Process – Perspectives and Approaches

Many approaches are currently debated on how the legislative process can be debated, among them are classic optimization, different forms of public engagement, digitalization, the use of articial engagement, increased transparency and the use of new policy tools. In an article published in the journal “Legislation and Policy Studies”, Sven T. Siefken argues that for effective modernization, the starting point must be a realistic and comprehensive understanding of the entire process. Then, conflicting goals of modernization have to be balanced. The article is available open access: Sven T.
